I'm Jonathan Shaw, a senior game audio designer at Frontier Developments. I've been working in game audio since 2020, across studios and titles that have reached millions of players worldwide.
Since Planet Coaster 2 launched, I've been audio lead on all post-launch content — taking full responsibility for the sound of every update. That means overseeing sound design, mixing, audio direction, VO casting and recording, and writing music briefs for composers, across 9 free updates and 2 paid DLCs. I work cross-discipline with a small audio team and collaborate closely with design, code, and production on every release.
My work centres on creative sound design, audio direction, and mixing. I've been working in Wwise and Unreal Engine 4/5 for years and know them inside out. I work in Reaper day-to-day. I don't do music composition.

Sound design and implementation on the PlayStation VR2 launch title — one of the most ambitious VR releases in recent years. Working within the Horizon franchise alongside Guerrilla and Firesprite, delivering immersive spatial audio across environments and cinematics.
Planet Coaster 2 — DLC Work

A full themed DLC built around magic and gothic fantasy — five new rides, hundreds of bespoke scenery pieces, interactive VFX and SFX, and a new park entertainer character, Vesper.

A vibrant DLC themed around oversized toys and childhood nostalgia — five new rides, hundreds of colourful scenery pieces, and a new park entertainer character, Max Stormcloud.
